Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has shared his opinion on what the Premier League should do to ensure they are able to finish the season.
The Premier League announced on Friday morning that they were suspending top flight football with the intention of returning on April 4th, subject to medical advice and conditions at the time.
Jordan believes that there must be a compromise between the television broadcasters will have to compromise in order to honour the integrity of the game to ensure that promotion and relegation still happens.
He suggested that with ten matches remaining to be played, next season’s winter break may have to be sacrificed with the outstanding fixtures to take place between the middle of May and July with August used as a rest period before the 2020/21 campaign commences in September.
Spurs currently find themselves in eighth place in the Premier League table and are seven points behind rivals Chelsea in fourth position.
