Tottenham thrashed Everton 6-2 at Goodison Park to go within two points off Manchester City in second place. It was a classy performance from start to finish by the Spurs side who looked like they could create chances and score at will for most of the game.
Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min scored a brace each, while Dele Alli and Eriksen also got on the scoresheet, to make the scoreline resounding. While it was certainly an all-around performance from the Spurs team, winning the midfield battle was crucial to how dominant Tottenham were.
One man who was instrumental in achieving that was Moussa Sissoko, who had yet another impressive game at the heart of midfield. The game was Sissoko’s 100th appearance for Tottenham, and the midfielder posted a message on social media, thanking fans for their support.

Sissoko has certainly stepped up this season and made the midfield spot his own after injuries to the likes of Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier. If the Frenchman keeps performing to the same level, he is well and truly on his way to becoming a fan favorite.
