Tottenham Hotspur are now in advanced talks with Antonio Conte over a return to the Premier League.
Sky Sports News claim that despite talks having progressed, there remains some distance between the two parties over his wage demands to take over from Jose Mourinho.
The former Inter Milan boss could yet be appointed as part of a dual appointment that sees his former Juventus colleague Fabio Paratici appointed as the new director of football in North London.
It was widely reported that Spurs have held talks with Mauricio Pochettino, who they sacked 18 months ago about a potential return to the club. However with PSG said to be unwilling to allow him to leave, the spotlight has turned on Conte.
