Sky Sports news reporter Dharmesh Sheth has provided an update on Serge Aurier’s future at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Ivorian has not played a minute of football in any of Spurs’ opening three fixtures this season with Jose Mourinho instead preferring to pick summer signing Matt Doherty at right-back (transfermarkt).
Despite reports earlier this week claiming that Spartak Moscow are growing increasingly confident that they can land the defender (Sky Sports), Sheth claims that Aurier wants to remain in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Spurs are said to be open to allowing the former PSG player to leave the club, while the player is also prepared to depart North London.
AC Milan were in talks with Spurs earlier in the transfer wibdow over a potential move to Italy, only for both clubs to be unable to reach a financially amicable arrangement.
Aurier admitted last summer that he had decided to leave the club in the summer of 2019 (Bal des Productions).
