Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has been sharing his understanding of reports linking Antonio Conte with Tottenham Hotspur.
Sky Sports confirmed earlier that the 51-year-old has mutually agreed to part company with Inter Milan, which will see him paid £6m (€7m) for the final year of his contract and is expected to be replaced at the San Siro by Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi.
Solhekol claimed that he had been making some phone calls and talking to people close to Conte and was told that it is their belief that ‘Spurs are looking for a softer manager whose personality would be easier to manage’.
The reporter also revealed that he has not heard anything to suggest that the former Chelsea manager is in talks with Tottenham over a potential return to the Premier League.
