Interim Tottenham head coach, Ryan Mason got off to the perfect start in the job this evening as the Lilywhites recorded a 2-1 win at home to Southampton.
The former Spurs academy starlet chose to put Gareth Bale back into the starting XI and was repaid with a second-half goal. The likes of Harry Winks, Davinson Sanchez and Steven Bergwijn were also back on the bench.
Heung-min Son then sealed all three points from the spot after having an earlier winner disallowed as Lucas Moura was offside and blocking the keeper.
Mason claimed he was proud of the boys after the performance. Check out the full clip below:
🗣 “So, so proud of the boys.”
