With just three matches of the current Premier League campaign remaining, Tottenham look to be on course to qualify for the Champions League for the fourth season in a row and finish as the highest-placed London club yet again.
This didn’t always look certain to happen when Spurs went on a couple of poor runs at different points of the season which saw them throw away a ten point advantage over Arsenal in the table and jeopardise their chances of a top four finish.
After Tottenham’s 4-2 defeat at the Emirates earlier in December, some Arsenal fans on social media insisted that the Gunners were coming for Spurs and that the Lilywhites would always be in their shadow – as shown in the below footage.
Fast-forward a few months and Arsenal have once again crumbled due to their poor away form while Spurs continue to make people sit up and take notice after progressing to the semi-final of the Champions League.
One Spurs fan decided to make a montage of Arsenal’s season which included their optimistic and outlandish early season predictions before the inevitable let down.

Spurs Web’s take:
It really is funny how every time Arsenal manage to secure a win and Spurs suffer a defeat, some Arsenal fans take to social media to claim their dominance over North London.
In a lot of respects, some Arsenal fans are behaving quite similarly to how Spurs fans did a few years ago with regular talks of a ‘power shift’ whenever the Gunners faltered. Their behaviour certainly reeks of an inferiority complex at the moment.
Let’s hope we continue to enjoy watching Spurs on Tuesday nights for years to come, while they hopefully have to put up with Europa League football.
