Video: Son and Pochettino share a touching moment after full-time whistle

Son Heung-min and Mauricio Pochettino shared a long embrace after the full-time whistle on Monday night.

Pochettino got a mixed reception from the crowd on his first return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium four years after his sacking.

It seemed at the start as if the Argentine and his side were in for a difficult night as the home side took an early lead and continued dictating proceedings for the first 30 minutes.

However, Cristian Romero’s red card in the 33rd minute followed by Destiny Udogie’s sending-off at the start of the second-half completely turned the tide.

In the end, Pochettino had the last laugh, with his side emerging 4-1 winners of the night.

The Telegraph’s Matt Law has said that the Tottenham captain and the Chelsea boss shared a long embrace after the final whistle and he also revealed that the 51-year-old got a good reception from the Spurs fans by the tunnel.

It is quite surprising to realise that Son was the only player from Tottenham’s starting eleven on Monday to have played under Pochettino. That shows how much the squad has been revamped in the four years since the Argentine departed.
