Video: Son Heung-min was furious at Tottenham star during Aston Villa win

A video is going around social media showing Son Heung-min looking furious at Guglielmo Vicario during the latter stages of Tottenham’s win at Villa Park.

Tottenham delivered a statement performance against their closest competitors for fourth place last weekend, thrashing Villa 4-0 in their own backyard and thus taking a big step towards Champions League qualification.

Why was Heung-min Son angry at Vicario?

A clip doing the rounds on social media shows that there was a moment in the second half where Son was not happy with Vicario after the Italian goalkeeper went down with a head injury.

The incident occurred after the Tottenham number one made a smart stop to deny Nicolo Zaniolo’s attempt, with the goalkeeper taking a stud to the back of his head in the process.

While the 27-year-old was getting treatment, Son looked rather concerned and even went towards Vicario to grab his shoulder twice while shouting at him before Yves Bissouma pushed the Spurs captain away.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is impossible to tell what Son was actually angry about. While some have interpreted it as the 31-year-old wanting Vicario to be subbed off, it does seem an awful lot like the South Korean did not want the goalkeeper to waste time and wanted him to get on with it.
