Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 2-0 yesterday courtesy of second-half strikes from Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen.
The win was important not just because it was Spurs’ first Premier League fixture at the new stadium but also because it served as a massive boost to Tottenham’s chances of finishing in the top 4.
It was Spurs’ first win in six Premier League games, and the relief was evident in the players’ and manager’s faces after the final whistle.
The manager and players thanked the fans for creating a rousing atmosphere while Son Heung-Min also pulled out some of his trademark handshakes at 1.29.
