Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp both admitted on Sunday that they don’t enjoy watching Tottenham play this season but admitted that Jose Mourinho’s tactics are proving effective for the Lilywhites at the moment.
Speaking after Spurs overcame Arsenal 2-0 in the North London Derby to move back to the top of the table, Redknapp claimed that the likes of Steven Bergwijn and Giovani Lo Celso will not enjoy having to do the jobs that Mourinho has them doing.
Here’s what Souness said about Tottenham’s style of play in the North London Derby during Sky Sports’ post-match coverage (starting at 6.10 pm):
🗣 "Is it everyone's cup of tea? It's not a great watch"

Redknapp then agreed with Souness about Tottenham’s negative approach but suggested that the Spurs fans will accept it as long as it leads them to silverware.
Souness then doubled-down on his claim and insisted that he cannot enjoy what Mourinho’s men are doing in comparison to the style of football the other top sides in the Premier League are playing.
