Video: Southgate responds to claims England and Spurs have clashed over Kane injury

Gareth Southgate has insisted that there is no truth to the media reports regarding a clash between Tottenham and England over Harry Kane’s fitness.

The England boss insisted on Sunday that Kane was not injured and was only suffering from muscle fatigue before he bought the striker on for a second-half cameo against Belgium.

Kane has been spotted training with his England teammates this morning but there have been reports claiming that Jose Mourinho will not be happy if the striker plays against Denmark since the 27-year-old is carrying a thigh injury.

Southgate reassured the media in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against the Danes that the England captain is fully fit.

He insisted that the media reports are not a reflection of the conversation the England and Spurs medical staff have had regarding the striker.
