Former Premier League manager Ian Holloway has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are putting Arsenal to shame.
Hollway believes that Tottenham’s progression in recent years along with the new 62,062 state of the art stadium plus the potential to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid shows the trajectory of the club.
Radio host Alan Brazil questioned Arsenal’s motives during his breakfast show on talkSPORT and insisted that Arsenal are on a downward spiral unless they start to spend to try and break back into the top four of the Premier League.
Spurs have finished above their North London rivals in each of the last four seasons in the Premier League table.
“The time has come now for Arsenal to say ‘we are a big club’ and spend.” ?
“They’re not climbing to the top to take on the best sides, they’re going the other way.” ?
“Spurs are putting them to shame.”
