Mauricio Pochettino made a number of changes to his side that took the field against Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday night.
Several of the players who came into the team caught the eye, none more so than the Argentine pair Juan Foyth and Giovani Lo Celso, with the latter making his first start for the club.
While Foyth put in an impressive performance at right back, Lo Celso was a constant threat to the Red Star defence and helped the Lilywhites fashion several chances. The 23-year-old also opened his Spurs account with a well-taken goal in the first half.
Both Foyth and Lo Celso gave an interview to the club following the win and expressed their delight in getting the three points.
Foyth had major strong words of praise for his compatriot, labelling him a ‘perfect player’.

Lo Celso’s English might have a long way to go but as long as he continues letting his feet do the talking, then he is going to have no problems. Let’s hope the 23-year-old now has a run in the side and quickly adjusts to life in the Premier League. The Argentine will hopefully help us turn our season around.
