Tottenham Hotspur fans have wasted no time in voicing their disgust at the actions of some of the Arsenal players during the match earlier today.

On more than one occasion, Arsenal players were guilty in trying to con referee Paul Tierney in either trying to win a penalty by diving or pretending they had been struck in the face by an opposition player.

The Gunners only managed to scrape past the Premier League strugglers with a goal seven minutes from time, but it is the lack of sportsmanship shown in their actions that has people talking.

  1. Diving and feigning injury is the curse of modern football, whoever’s doing it, and I’m sorry to say that Spurs are as guilty as anyone. Alli has been joined by Kane and Son as serial divers, while Vertonghen has been caught-out faking assaults, as well as carrying them out, as Firmino can testify this season. REALLY severe punishments for offenders are the only answer, whatever team they play for.
