Tottenham legend Gareth Bale has dismissed the idea that he would have ever considered playing for Arsenal and has reiterated his love for the Lilywhites.

Bale appeared on a segment in TNT Sports where he was asked twenty quickfire questions about his life and his career.
It was clear from the Welshman’s answers that he is still very much Tottenham through and through, with the club continuing to have a special place in his heart.
The 34-year-old, who hung up his boots from the game after the 2022 World Cup, admitted that he was appalled to once hear rumours linking him with a move to the Gunners.
Bale scored five goals in 12 Premier League appearances and a further five goals in cup competitions in his second stint in North London with Covid rulings meaning that supporters could not watch the club legend in action live at the stadium.

Gareth Bale jokes about the idea of joining Arsenal
When asked what was the wildest rumour that he has heard about himself, Bale responded: “That I would join Arsenal.”
The winger was then asked which club would have liked to play for if you could have, to which he said: “I played for the two clubs that I wanted to. So I’m quite happy.”

Even though Bale’s Tottenham return did not prove to be the fairytale it should have been due to Covid and Jose Mourinho, it is clear that the winger still holds a lot of affection for the club where he first made his name.
