Tottenham Hotspur have finally paid tribute to Fernando Llorente after the striker completed a move to Napoli.
Llorente’s contract expired at the end of last season but the club had held back on a message of thanks to the 34-year-old.
Football Insider recently reported that Spurs had made a new contract offer to the former World Cup winner which was a one-year deal on reduced terms, which would certainly explain why the club have only now decided to send a message of thanks to the forward.
Earlier this morning, the club released a video montage of Llorente’s highlights from our Champions League campaign in which the striker played a key part in booking our place in the final.
Thank you for providing us with some unbelievable memories, @llorentefer19! ?
