Eric Dier has admitted that he has had a difficult season at Tottenham Hotspur but was pleased to have found the back of the net with the opening goal of the game against Everton.
Dier reacted quickest when a corner was played into the box which Fernando Llorente battled for and the ball fell to the feet of Dier who finished from close range.
The midfielder has suffered a stop-start campaign due to injury and illness that saw him miss 19 matches in total this season.
He slotted in at central defender alongside Toby Alderweireld for yesterday’s 2-2 draw and admits that he will cherish the moment the fans sung his name at the new stadium.
