Paulo Gazzaniga has praised the character of manager Mauricio Pochettino after Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Red Star Belgrade.
The 5-0 victory ended Tottenham’s three-match run without victory and they did it in emphatic style against the Serbian opposition.
Pochettino restored Son and Lamela to the starting line-up and the pair helped to set the standard with their energetic high pressing which is something that has been greatly missed this season.
After the match, Gazzaniga who has been deputising for the injured Hugo Lloris hailed Pochettino after the negativity he has faced following the club’s poor start to the new campaign.
Gazzaniga had a relatively quiet game after rarely being tested by Red Star apart from one save which he should have comfortably caught but spilt the ball for it to thankfully land at the feet of a team-mate.
Tottenham will be looking to be at the top of their game on Sunday when they visit Premier League leaders Liverpool at Anfield.
