Tottenham Hotspur have shared a five-minute video tribute to Jan Vertonghen after confirming earlier today that he has left the club (Spurs official).
The video contains classy tributes from the likes of Eric Dier, Heung-min Son, Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Hugo Lloris along with footage of the Belgian being presented with a photograph of himself which appears to have been signed by his team-mates.
The 33-year-old described said that he looks back on his eight years in North London with pride and reflected on last season’s Champions League journey as one of his best moments along with the ‘Battle of the Bridge’ match against Chelsea.
Vertonghen paid tribute to the supporters and feels that he can walk into the stadium or dressing room in the future such is the comfort he felt at the club.
