Tottenham Hotspur winger, Steven Bergwijn has claimed that Nuno Espirito Santo’s double sessions in pre-season helped their fitness towards the end of the game against Man City.
Spurs got their new Premier League season, and life under Nuno, off to a winning start on Sunday with a 1-0 win over the reigning champions.
In the final 10-15 minutes of the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the likes of Son, Moura and Dele were still full of running, which helped them on the break and when running the clock down.
Bergwijn also revealed that the atmosphere and energy around camp is good at the moment. Check out the full clip below:

Spurs Web Opinion:
I have been crying out for this since Pochettino left. If you are not fitter, or at least as fit, as your opponents, you are already on the back foot. Spurs faded too much last season and it’s nice to see fitness back at the forefront.
