Video: Spurs star seems to have made up with Carragher after old beef

Jamie Carragher

Richarlison embraced Jamie Carragher following Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, with the pair seemingly putting aside their past disagreements.

Carragher did not hide his disdain for Richarlison when he was doing commentary work for Sky Sports during the Merseyside derby at Anfield back in April.

The former Liverpool defender said about the 25-year-old during the game (via Liverpool Echo): “Honestly, get up, every week I watch him play like that! Get up, carry on. He’s been down three times already, [there’s] nothing wrong with him.”

This did not sit well with Richarlison, who shot back at the pundit on social media. Here’s what the former Everton man tweeted in response at the time:

Explaining his beef with the former Everton striker, Carragher told JOE earlier this month: “I think he’s a good player, but I can’t stand it, there’s a difference between diving and feigning injury.

“It’s the going down when he’s not hurt, if you go down to try to get a free-kick and don’t get it, get up and get on with the game. He’s holding somewhere he’s not been hit and I’d had enough of it.

“I guarantee you Everton fans when they play Tottenham this season will be saying the same if Richarlison carries on with that.”

However, the pundit and the Spurs star put their past quarrels behind them to shake hands following Tottenham’s 2-0 win at the City Ground on Sunday.

Richarlison replaced Son Heung-min on 74 minutes and set up Harry Kane’s second goal with a perfect cross with the outside of his right foot.

Here’s what happened after the game when the Brazilian noticed Carragher at the Stadium:

Spurs Web Opinion

I have to admit that I could not stand Richarlison when he was at Everton as his antics got on my nerve. However, I absolutely love him now that he plays for Spurs.

While I am not a fan of the kind of showboating he did against Forest yesterday, I find it quite funny how much it has angered Arsenal fans on social media.
