Video: Spurs star tries to justify why he has not scored a PL goal since December

Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura has attempted to justify his lack of goals in the Premier League.

The Brazilian who secured his place in Tottenham folk law after his heroic hat-trick against Ajax in the semi final second leg of last season’s Champions League has since found difficulty in finding the back of the net.

Moura struggled for regular game time during Mauricio Pochettino’s last few months in North London and suggested that the Argentine constantly played him out of position as a number nine (Daily Mail).

After scoring his last Premier League goal in December during the 2-1 win at Wolves in December, the former PSG player has claimed that he is an important part of the Spurs team and his game should not be purely judged on the number of goals to his name.
