Tottenham Hotspur submitted an application on July 11th to Haringey Council for a non-material amendment to increase the capacity of their new stadium from 62,062 to 62,200.
The original stadium capacity was increased from 61,461 to 61,559 under a non-material amendment and further onto the current capacity as a result of detailed stadium refinement to the seating bowl.
Spurs have further reviewed the seating bowl with building control and it has been found that a minor design change to the south stand gangways and a reassessment of the sightlines of the seats located behind the giant screens in the North Stand upper tier have contributed to the additional seats.
A decision on the application is now pending.
Vlogger Chris Cowlin broke the news earlier this evening where the contents of the application letter were read out.
