Jamie Bowden continued his impressive loan spell at Oldham Athletic with a stunning goal from outside of the penalty area.
The Tottenham Hotspur academy product joined the Latics on a deal in August until the end of the campaign in order to get a regular taste of first-team football.
Bowden found the back of the net with six minutes remaining of Oldham’s League Two clash at Exeter City, but it only proved to be a late consolation with his side having been 2-0 down at the time.
It was a superb strike from the midfielder, who unleashed a dipping effort from all of 30 yards to leave Dawson in the Oldham goal helpless as the ball headed into the top right-hand corner
The 20-year-old had an opportunity in stoppage time to level the score, only to see his free-kick cannon back off the Exeter wall.
Bowden missed a fair chunk of the start of last season through injury, but was rewarded for his fine form with the club’s Under-23 side when Jose Mourinho named him in his matchday squad for a Europa League round of 32, first leg match against Wolfsberger AC in February.
