talkSPORT presenter Darren Gough has defended Tottenham Hotspur’s physical style of play against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves winger Adama Traoré’s pace caused Jose Mourinho’s side plenty of problems down the right side of the pitch which saw the likes of Eric Dier and Harry Kane both shown yellow cards by referee Stuart Attwell for challenges on the 23-year-old.
Wolves boss claimed after his side’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham that referees need to offer Traoré more protection or risk him suffering a serious injury (Express and Star).
Gough believes that it was a case of tactical fouling by the North London side to stop him exploiting the space left behind.
"There's nothing wrong with that!" ❌
"It's called tactical fouling. Some of the top teams in the world do it." ✅@DGoughie says he doesn't have an issue with #THFC's treatment of Adama Traoré.

Opinion
Pundits seem to be forgetting that Lucas Moura was the subject of some heavy challenges from the Wolves players, especially in the first half.
