Mauricio Pochettino claimed yesterday that he is ‘not in charge’ of transfers at Tottenham Hotspur and believes his job title should be amended to coach from manager (The Sun).
The Argentine made the remark after the club’s pre-season 1-0 win against Real Madrid in Munich.
Spurs have already broken their transfer record this summer following the arrival of Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and followed Jack Clarke through the door at Hotspur Way with the pair being the club’s only two signings since January 2018.
Former Chelsea and Republic of Ireland international forward Tony Cascarino has claimed that Pochettino will not last the season at Tottenham.
Speaking to talkSPORT this morning, Cascarino claimed that the Spurs man is not committed to the football club for the long term and believes he will be the next high profile managerial departure in the Premier League.
“If I was a Spurs fan I’d be concerned.”
“If you asked me which boss out of the top teams would leave next I’d have to say Poch.” ?
“I don’t feel he’s committed to the football club long-term.” ?

Opinion
While there is no doubt that Pochettino appeared frustrated at yesterday’s press conference, to suggest that he will not last the season at Spurs is a controversial comment from Cascarino.
