Video: talkSPORT pundit explains why he will not judge Mourinho until Christmas

Former Ipswich Town midfielder Matt Holland has claimed that he will reserve judgement on Jose Mourinho’s time at Tottenham Hotspur until Christmas.

The Portuguese took over from Mauricio Pochettino in late November with the club having found themselves in the unfamiliar position of fourteenth in the Premier League table.

Despite enjoying an upturn in form in the first few matches under Mourinho, the side are currently without a win in their last six matches in all competitions.

Spurs found themselves knocked out of both the FA Cup and Champions League in the space of a week at the hands of Norwich City and RB Leipzig respectively.

Holland highlighted the fact that Spurs have a number of injuries on their hands with the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Moussa Sissoko all having suffered long-term issues.

Opinion

Mourinho hasn’t enjoyed the best of luck since moving to North London, however the blame has to be laid at the door of Daniel Levy for failing to strengthen the squad appropriately in the January transfer window.
