Video: Ex-Premier League manager questions Mauricio Pochettino’s achievements

Former QPR and Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has questioned whether former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is as good as he is being made out to be.

Speaking to talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Holloway insisted that Pochettino cannot be considered among the top managers in the world until he gets his hands on some silverware.

He claimed that Rafa Benitez was more qualified to be Arsenal manager than Pochettino or his mentor, Marcelo Bielsa. Bizarrely, Holloway even insinuated that he has more to show on his CV than Pochettino has due to the fact that he won multiple promotions to the Premier League.

If Pochettino’s lack of silverware was proof that he wasn’t any good, then the biggest clubs in world football wouldn’t be after him. The fact that the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have been linked with the Argentine tells you all that you need to know about the quality of the work he has done at Spurs.
