Video: talkSPORT pundit says Spurs’ backward passing became a joke against Chelsea

Jason Cundy has claimed that there is a lack of confidence among the Tottenham Hotspur players based on how they played against Chelsea on Sunday.

Cundy, who played for both sides during his career felt that Jose Mourinho’s side did not have a swagger about them which he expected to see.

It was the first time in which Jose Mourinho had faced his former employers since being appointed as the new head coach and the talkSPORT pundit admitted that he was surprised that the Portuguese did not look to change his side or tactics after Chelsea dominated the proceedings after the first twenty minutes in North London.

Cundy claimed that it was evidently obvious from early on in the match that Mourinho waited until half time to try and change the game when he brought on Christian Eriksen for the ineffective Eric Dier.

The 2-0 defeat cost Spurs the opportunity to move above Chelsea into fourth place in the Premier League table.
