Video: talkSPORT pundit suggests why big clubs may not want to sign Jack Grealish

Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills has claimed that the reason why big clubs are hesitant on signing Jack Grealish is that they have doubts over the midfielder’s tactical discipline.

Grealish was close to a move to Spurs in the summer of 2018 but the move failed to materialise after Aston Villa’s new owners decided to block the transfer (Sky Sports).

Since then the midfielder has gone from strength to strength and has been one of the club’s shining lights since their return to the Premier League this season.

The Telegraph recently claimed that the 24-year-old could quit Villa Park this summer if he is the subject of an offer from a big club.

While Mills is convinced that Grealish has the talent required to play for the top sides in the Premier League, he suggested that the fact that he is doing “too much” at Villa could cost him a move.

Spurs Web Opinion

I don’t necessarily think that Grealish’s apparent lack of tactical discipline at Villa will cost him a move. Most coaches would believe that they can mould him into the kind of player they want. It is just a shame that we failed to land him in 2018 because we wanted to save a few million. I fear that he might be too expensive for us in the summer if Villa manage to avoid the drop.
