It is safe to say that Japhet Tanganga’s emergence this season caught many fans by surprise, but the defender hasn’t looked back since making his Premier League debut against Liverpool in January.
He’s been used at centre back, left-back, and right-back, an indication that Jose Mourinho trusts him to carry out instructions despite his inexperience.
On Friday, the 21-year-old answered a series of questions from youngsters who were part of the PL Kicks programme.
The defender gave several illuminating answers including the advice that Mourinho and his Spurs teammates have given him since he broke into the team.

He is certainly not a typical 21-year-old and has the right mentality to keep learning and developing as a player. I believe this is one of the reasons Jose trusts him as much as he does.
