Video: “That’s disgusting” – Arsenal player snubs fan wearing Spurs shirt

Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner caused something of a stir following his final match with New England Revolution.

The 27-year-old was captured on camera signing shirts and signs for the home fans in attendance at Gillette Stadium after his side secured a 2-1 against Minnesota United in Major League Soccer.

A female supporter who was wearing the home Tottenham Hotspur shirt dangled a Revolution jersey which had Turner’s name and squad number on the reverse, only for the keeper to refuse to sign.

He was about to sign when he could be heard saying: “Oh no. That’s disgusting. That’s disgusting”,

After the supporter tried to plead for him to come to his senses, he repeated: “That’s disgusting”.

Turner’s actions are somewhat pathetic to a supporter in the home end of his previous club, but instead, he decided to try and win favour among the fanbase of his new club.

The USA international will now head to north London looking to push Aaron Ramsdale for a place in Mikel Arteta’s side where he will be hoping to play on a Thursday night while Tottenham play on a Wednesday.
