Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Marseille right-back Hiroki Sakai after the 29-year-old was voted the fans player of the season last year (Sky Sports).
Crystal Palace are also said to be eyeing up a move for the player for around £12.5m (Sun).
Reports indicate that Marseille have already identified Napoli right-back Kevin Lacuit as a potential replacement for Sakai this summer, so they could be resigned to losing him (But Football Club).

From the highlights I have seen, it looks as if Sakai has the same passion, aggression, tough tackling, and popularity among fans as Danny Rose, but in right-back form.
