Video: ‘The last bite’ – Hojbjerg gives honest take on Spurs’ finishing

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg admitted there was disappointment in the Tottenham dressing room after they failed to put their chances away against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tottenham played out a 0-0 draw away at Frankfurt, with the draw leaving the Lilywhites with plenty of work to do to qualify for the knockout stages.

After the game, Antonio Conte said in his press conference that he was pleased by the response from his players on the back of their 3-1 loss in the North London derby on Saturday (Football.London).

The Italian insisted that his side deserved a lot more from the game, given the chances they created.

Hojbjerg echoed the Spurs boss’ sentiments, insisting they were let down by a lack of killer instinct in the final third.

Here’s what the midfielder said in his post-match interview with BT Sport:

Spurs Web Opinion

Our style of play relies on the likes of Kane and Son being able to make most of two vs two or three vs three situations in the final third and taking chances when they come their way.

So, when our forwards have off nights, we are going to struggle to score goals as we are not a team that pins the opposition back and sustains pressure in the final third.
