Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson has urged Jose Mourinho to bring Dele Alli in from the wilderness.
Mourinho appeared to aim a dig in the direction of the midfielder during his post-Chelsea press conference when he pinned some of his side’s struggles in front of goal on the player (Independent).
The Daily Mail claimed that the 24-year-old has never been fancied by Mourinho since taking over from Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019.
Dawson believes that the absence of the England international is a waste of talent and urged the pair to settle their differences to give the fans something to cheer about.
Spurs are currently in a troubling run of form having lost their last three Premier League matches in a row.
🤩 “It’s a wasted talent. You saw two years ago, he’s an incredible talent.”
🙏 “Jose & Dele have to make up, there’s something going on.”
👊 “Get him back in the team & give fans some belief and excitement.”
