Tottenham Hotspur well and truly ended their Champions League journey with a whimper this season, losing 3-0 to RB Leipzig on the night and 4-0 on aggregate.
The Lilywhites were playing in the final just last season, but failed to even reach the quarters this year and now find themselves with no silverware to play for.
Dele Alli, who started the match in Germany, has now issued an apology to the fans, stating that they deserve better than what they were forced to watch.
“We have to apologise to the fans. They travelled all this way and to go out and lose like that… They deserve better.”
An honest Dele on Tottenham’s Champions League exit, footballing mentality and fight to salvage their season…
