Paul Robinson has claimed that Jose Mourinho was brought to Tottenham Hotspur in order to win silverware
Mauricio Pochettino helped to transform Tottenham’s fortunes on the pitch during his five and a half year stint in charge and turned the club into regulars in the Champions League.
Unfortunately, the Argentine was unable to end the club’s twelve-year wait for a trophy after coming up short in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in recent seasons.
After dropping into the bottom half of the table in November, Levy decided to bring in Mourinho with Robinson insisting that progression has to be made in what will be Mourinho’s first full season in charge.
