Video: Tottenham and West Ham fans clashed at half-time in London Stadium

Video footage has emerged of Tottenham and West Ham fans clashing on the concourse during the sides’ encounter at the London Stadium.

The incident was said to have taken place at half-time of the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon at about 2.45 pm.

Large scuffles broke out after both sets of fans bypassed a number of stewards before breaking down a dividing door, allowing a brawl to ensue on the stadium’s concourse.

The stewards were left powerless as fans from both sides outnumbered them, and began throwing punches and launching plastic cups full of beer between the dividing doorway.

The doors were eventually re-closed just over a minute after they had been torn open.

West Ham later came out on top on the pitch and claimed a 1-0 win courtesy of Michail Antonio’s tap-in from an Aaron Cresswell corner after 72 minutes.

The defeat compiled more misery onto Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, who have lost all four encounters against London opposition so far this season.

It’s quite silly that it comes to this during encounters between both sides, but it’s inevitable that it will happen regardless. Even though there were stewards present it looked like they were caught heavily off guard in allowing this to happen.
