Tottenham’s brand new 62,000 seat stadium doesn’t seem far away now, as the club revealed huge progress on their Twitter account.
The first rolls of new turf have been laid on the site of the old White Hart Lane, showing that the stadium is inching closer to completion.
The turf is laid on top of three retractable trays which, when stored under the south stand, reveal a second NFL pitch underneath for games throughout the year.
Tottenham fans will be pleased to see some real progress at their stadium site, after delays have plagued the headlines this summer.
The stadium was originally supposed to open on September 15 against Liverpool, but fast forward almost a month and Spurs fans are still waiting.
Pochettino did reveal last week (as reported by The Telegraph) however that the stadium would be finished in 2018, which will be a great Christmas present for the Tottenham faithful.
What do you think of the new pitch?
