Tottenham Hotspur went to Barcelona in late 2018 with it all to do if they stood any chance of qualifying for the Champions League knock out stages.
Spurs needed to match any Inter Milan result against PSV on the night to book their spot in the last sixteen.
With PSV grabbing a 1-1 draw against Inter, Spurs just needed to grind out the same against the Spanish giants, an accomplishment they managed to pull off.
The Spurs away end erupted into celebrations upon hearing the news out of Inter’s game, however, the night would soon turn sour.
Reports and videos emerged of an altercation between Spurs fans and Barcelona stewards, a confrontation that ends in the stewards striking fans with batons ‘for no reason’ (TalkSPORT).
One fan documented the entire thing on his phone, and later tweeted it out, claiming that the fans did absolutely nothing wrong.
The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust are now calling for UEFA to take urgent action.
I just need to address this issue which happened last night during the game.
