Bryan Gil found the back of the net for Sevilla in their 2-0 win over Mallorca at home on Saturday.
Gil’s loan spell at Sevilla did not get off to the best of starts, with Jorge Sampaoli’s men being on the end of a 3-0 loss at Camp Nou in the winger’s second debut for the club.
The on-loan Tottenham man was given the nod to start on the left in the clash against Mallorca and he repaid his manager’s faith, playing some threatening crosses into the box and getting on the scoresheet.
Youssef En-Nesyri gave the home side the lead in 28 minutes before Gil tapped the ball home from close range 12 minutes later after Jesus Navas’ cross from the right fell kindly to the 21-year-old.

Spurs Web Opinion
While this goal might have been a simple finish, Gil looked extremely threatening on the left, beating his man with ease and delivering some very good crosses into the box.
The 21-year-old has always seemed more comfortable on the left rather than playing as an inverted winger. He played primarily as a left-winger when he had a breakthrough season on loan at Eibar, which convinced Spurs to snap him up.
Antonio Conte prefers inverted wingers so that the wing-backs have the space to overlap and one can argue that the system did not get the best out of Gil, who prefers beating his man on the outside rather than cutting in like Kulusevski does.
