Video: Tottenham’s goal of the season revealed

Tottenham played out a 2-2 draw against Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium today in what was their final Premier League game of the season.

The result meant that Tottenham finished the season in 4th place, as Chelsea also played out a draw away at Leicester City.

After the game, the end of season awards were handed out before the players went on lap of honour around the pitch, thanking the fans for their support.

The Goal of the Season award was won by Son Heung Min’s strike at Wembley against Chelsea. The South Korean scored the third goal in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Chelsea after a spectacular run.

The 26-year-old ran away from Jorginho, and went past David Luiz with a shimmy before finding the far corner of the net.

While Son displayed terrific pace, skill and finishing in that move, and that goal is certainly up there with some of the best strikes this season, we at Spurs Web will give the award to Lucas Moura’s winner against Ajax.

For the timing of the goal, and the importance in terms of what it meant for the club, Moura’s strike at Amsterdam has to take the cake ahead of Son’s strike at Chelsea.
