Video: Tottenham’s summer signing consoles frustrated Son on bench

Fraser Forster captured on camera making a classy gesture of going to sit next to Heung-min Son soon after the South Korean was substituted in Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Fulham.

Son failed to find the back of the net for the sixth game running on Sunday but the forward did come extremely close to breaking his barren spell, striking the crossbar in the first half after being picked out by Harry Kane.

Even though he did not open his account for the season, the 30-year-old arguably put in his best display of the campaign against the Cottagers.

Antonio Conte praised the forward for his performance and insisted that he is in no way concerned about the 30-year-old’s lack of goals (Football.London).

After he was replaced by Ivan Perisic in the 84th minute, Son cut a dejected figure on the bench which saw the reserve goalkeeper move seats on the bench to check up on his team-mate.

Spurs Web Opinion

Son can hold his head high after his performance against Fulham as I thought he was excellent. However, forwards need goals to get their confidence up and so, it is understandable why he looks dejected. There is no doubt that the floodgates will open for the 30-year-old as soon as he gets his first goal of the season.
