Video: Townsend and Goldstein disagree over who will clinch fourth spot

Andy Townsend has backed Tottenham Hotspur to secure fourth place while Andy Goldstein believes his beloved Man Utd will sneak into the Champions League.

The race for fourth was blown wide open thanks to Tottenham’s 1-0 loss at home to Brighton over the weekend.

The Lilywhites would have been relieved that Arsenal did not take advantage of their slip-up, with Mikel Arteta’s side falling to their third consecutive loss against Southampton.

However, Man Utd did bring themselves right back into the thick of the race as a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick helped them get all three points against Norwich.

Townsend expects Spurs to still clinch fourth despite their slip up while Goldstein believes the door is now open for the Red Devils to overtake Antonio Conte’s men.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no reason for us to panic despite the loss on Saturday as we still have a much more favourable run-in compared to both United and Arsenal. I am also not convinced that United have it in them to string decent results together, given how poor they have been over recent weeks.
