Kieran Trippier was finally able to get some Champions League revenge on Liverpool after the defeat against the Reds in the final with Spurs last season.
Trippier made the move from North London to Atletico Madrid last summer after a poor season for the Lilywhites.
However, the England right-back put in an impressive display against the likes of Sadio Mane on Wednesday night, as Atletico knocked Liverpool out in extra time.
After the match, Trippier talked about his final season with Spurs and how it was a ‘no brainer’ to leave and join Atletico in the end.
