Video: Troy Parrott doubles Ireland’s lead against Scotland with neat header

Troy Parrott has continued his impressive run of form for the Republic of Ireland after netting against Scotland this afternoon.

The Tottenham Hotspur forward was named in Stephen Kenny’s starting eleven for the UEFA Nations League match in Dublin and doubled his side’s lead after 28 minutes.

Parrott originally won a header to start off the attack and got himself up off the floor to make an intelligent run into the Scottish penalty area to nod home Michael Obafemi’s cross beyond Craig Gordon.

The 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan at MK Dons has now scored four goals in fourteen senior fixtures for his country (transfermarkt).

Preston’s Alan Browne had earlier given his side the lead in the 20th minute of the match.
