Video: Troy Parrott scores first goal in senior football for Ipswich Town

Troy Parrott has this afternoon netted his first goal in senior football after he put Ipswich Town 1-0 up against Plymouth Argyle.

The goal came in the fourth minute of the League One encounter at Portman Road when the on-loan Tottenham Hotspur forward pounced on a loose ball across the penalty box before rounding Argyle ‘keeper Mike Cooper and casually slotting into the bottom corner from just outside the six-yard box.

The Republic of Ireland international spent the first half of the season on loan at Championship outfit Millwall but failed to score in 14 appearances in all competitions.

Parrott will now certainly be hoping that his first goal will give him the confidence to kick on and score a few more before the season ends to allow him to return to North London and rival the likes of Dane Scarlett for game time in Jose Mourinho’s first team.
