Video: Troy Parrott scores impressive solo effort against Sheffield Wednesday

Troy Parrott continued his impressive recent run of form in front of goal having found the back of the net for MK Dons yesterday evening.

Parrott retained his place in the starting eleven for the visit of fellow promotion candidates Sheffield Wednesday to Stadium MK and found his side 3-0 down inside the opening half hour.

The Republic of Ireland international was played through inside the Owls’ half after thirty-nine minutes and despite being shown the outside by the defender, he finished neatly with the outside of his right foot.

The home side pulled another back deep into second-half injury time but were unable to rescue a point after Parrott also saw a late effort saved.

The 3-2 defeat means that MK Dons missed out on the chance to move into second place in League One and are now at risk of the lottery which is the play-offs instead.

Parrott has now scored in each of his last three League One matches for MK Dons, along with his effort on international duty against Lithuania, after suffering a downturn in form earlier in the season, he has shown good determination to finish the campaign on a positive note.
