Video: Troy Parrott scores winner for MK Dons after earning penalty

Troy Parrott was back on the goalscoring trail earlier today having found the back of the net for MK Dons.

The Republic of Ireland international was named in the starting eleven for the visit of Wycome Wanderers and repaid the faith of head coach Liam Manning by scoring the only goal of the League One clash.

Parrott was was brought down in the box six minutes before the break by Anthony Stewart, which saw the Chairboys player receive his marching orders by referee Scott Oldham.

The 19-year-old dusted himself off and made no mistake with his spot kick to score his third goal of the campaign

It is great to see Parrott back among the goals after a difficult loan spell at the start of last season at Millwall.

The forward faces competition from fellow academy graduate Dane Scarlett when he returns to North London next season and it will be interesting to see whether the club are prepared to keep both or once again look to send either out for further first-team opportunities.
